Immaculate Conception School offers a wide variety of intramural and interscholastic athletics along with after school enrichment classes (please see Enrichment Classes). The athletic teams are coached by ICS teachers or parent volunteers.
The intramural athletic program starts at grade 1 or 2 and it is designed to introduce the rules and skills needed to play volleyball, basketball and baseball. The interscholastic athletic teams begin to compete in different leagues starting at grades 3, 4 or 5. The basketball teams are members of the Big Ten League which compete against schools like Sacred Heart, Alphonsus Academy, St. Clement, St. Andrew, St. Josaphat, St. Hilary, St. Edward, and many more. The baseball team are members of the Windy City League which includes many of the same Catholic Schools in the Big Ten League. The cross country and track teams participate in various meets such as the Loyola Academy Meet, City Suburban Run, Whitney Young Meet, Latin School Run and the CYO Meet.
